Change Management Success Stories

The Challenge:  SYNAPTA

A former fast growing start-up experienced significant decrease in revenue, which caused the company to do layoffs.  Turnover of key employees posed a significant threat to the company’s success.

 Listen & Learn - The Issues

  • Productivity was extremely low

  • Morale had dropped

  • Employees struggled with trusting and remaining committed to the organization

  • Employees stated that they “didn’t know what was going on anymore”

  • Management was frustrated because employees didn’t seem to realize that company success relied on increased productivity

 Plan

The plan for this was tricky, as there was no guarantee that layoffs would not reoccur.  However, it was crucial to increase communication and assistance in order to help managers and employees cope with the changes the company was experiencing.

Partnering with management, a communication plan, change management course, and 1:1 coaching was developed.

 Implement

  •  A full written and verbal communication program was launched to provide available information and ensure feedback was received for continuous improvement

  • A change management course was given to all employees (including management) addressing the core issues and fears they were facing and providing tools to manage the changes and challenges

  • 1:1 coaching was provided to management to address day-to-day challenges of supporting their key employees.

Follow Through - The Results

An inspiration to our company to embrace change and join forces as a team and do more than ever before. The timing of the course couldn't have been better considering the changing market climate!
